Keeping Your NumberAll mobile phone numbers can be transferred to another operator of your choice - even Pay As You Go numbers! If you have a memorable mobile phone number and you don't want it to change when you buy a new mobile phone or new sim card, then don't worry. ALL mobile phone numbers are portable to ALL other networks. In order to transfer your number from one network operator to another, you need to apply for a PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) from your existing network operator. By law they must give you a PAC code with only a few exceptions (they can only basically refuse if you owe them money) If you wish to obtain your PAC number - here is a list of contact numbers to help you: 02 (BT Cellnet): Call 100 from your mobile T Mobile (One2One): Call 121 from your mobile Orange: Call 0800 80 10 80 Virgin: Call 0845 6000 070 or 0845 6000 789 Vodafone: Call 08080 945 945 If any of these numbers need updating, please let us know by emailing: pacs @cheapmobilephones-uk.co.uk . Thanks. Note: You PAC code is only vaild for 30 days from issue, so do not apply for it way ahead of transferring your number. Number transfers typically take about 7-10 working days - but you will recieve confirmation of the whole process from whoever you buy your new mobile or sim card. |
